Forged round steel is round steel that has been forged according to process requirements. The specifications can generally reach a diameter of 1500mm domestically. Forged materials are formed by impact force, making them suitable for small components or special-shaped steel processing. Round steel refers to solid long steel bars with a circular cross-section. Its specifications are expressed in millimeters of diameter, such as "50," which means round steel with a diameter of 50 millimeters. Round steel is divided into three types: hot-rolled, forged, and cold-drawn. The specifications for hot-rolled round steel range from 5.5 to 250 millimeters. Among them, small round steel with diameters of 5.5-25 millimeters is mostly supplied in straight bundles and is commonly used as reinforcement bars, bolts, and various mechanical parts. The differences between round steel and other reinforcement bars: 1. Appearance is different. Round steel (Grade I steel) belongs to ordinary low-carbon steel, while other reinforcement bars are mostly alloy steel. 3. Strength is different. Round steel has lower strength, while other reinforcement bars have higher strength. That is, for the same diameter, round steel can withstand less tensile force compared to other reinforcement bars. However, round steel has greater plasticity than other reinforcement bars, meaning round steel undergoes significant deformation before breaking, while other reinforcement bars undergo much less deformation before breaking.
